First bear ever! Alpine
« on: October 18, 2017, 08:22:36 PM »
Monday and Tuesday I spent up high looking for a buck as my primary concern. I happened to see this bear just as I was leaving and got it done! Long hike out, and was thankful for my brothers help on the way out. Seeing a cougar in the dark makes life feel much better being with someone else... Grateful for a bunch of meat for my family.

Nothing's better than getting a bear feeding on berries. Nice one, congrats!

Congrats! Nothing like the first and bear meat is so delicious. I've been eating mine like crazy lately.  I only have about 36 pounds left,  LOL.

By the time you had him packed out, I wonder if the smile had worn off yet.   Great bear!

Nice bear. You've got some great meat and saved a bunch of fawns, too.
