Guided Goose Hunts
« on: October 20, 2017, 09:49:42 AM »
Hey everyone,

I've got a friend with an upcoming bachelor party. Like a true hunter he'd like this to be a guided goose hunt within Washington state (assume a party of 10 or less). Curious if anyone has any recommendations for outfitters that they've 1) enjoyed hunting with and 2) had a great success rate

Thank you in advance.
It's not always what you put in the freezer, but the memories you come home with.

I would recommend Big Guns Outfitters.  I have gone goose hunting with them many times.  We have been successful most of the times.  Their guides are great.

I bought a hunt last year with the Burbank Goose folks/Paul Sullivan.  It was epic!  I actually couod hear geese breathing as they landed on top of the pit blind.  Nice folks.

Eagle Lakes  :dunno: Been a long time since I went over there...they priced themselves out of my league. None the less if you are pulling out all the stops for your buddy this place is amazing. With 10 guys going you could almost have the whole lodge...and their bar
Always duck hunted there...never did geese but saw a lot of dead ones at the plucking shack every time.
Have fun wherever you go...expect a write-up of the adventure.

Called Arron Ecthernkamp here in Eastern Wa. He's top notch, always on birds , and price is fair. he fills quick though, but a group of 10 he would more than likely fit you in. www.easternwashingtonguides.com.

I second this referral. The blinds are so well camoed that you have to be careful not to fall into one! Nice folks.

Honkstompers, all the way. He will put you on the birds and has the most land locked up in the Columbia Basin.

Shane Moon with North Flight.
Troy Taylor with Rucus Outfitters. Troy and Robert Strong are both world class callers. Robert is headed to Stutgartt for the duck calling World Championship in November representing WA.
Mardon Duck Taxi they have guided goose  hunts. I've never been on one of their hunts but I know Levi has great land leased up.

 :yeah:

He gets you spoiled though... no sky busting; He likes to get them to nearly sit down in front of you. It's epic and has helped me be more patient by not taking pot shots on high birds.

:yeah: We do a few corporate trips with him here and there.  He's a good guide who I've only had positive experiences with.

Are the prices still the same.  The website says 2012-2013 rates

I just called one of his guides and made that exact same comment. I'm not sure of the pricing.
