I use old school Sitka Nimbus jacket and pants.

Depends on the expected weather.   If September or early October and lighter rain, I just bring my Marmot Precip jacket and pants.  Lightweight and easy to put on and off.

For late October and November hunts with heavy rain and snow, I go with the Sitka Coldfront top and bottom.   Heavier to pack, but extremely waterproof.   And lined with thin fleece to keep the warmth in better.

I also have some less expensive Rivers West camo gear that is waterproof and holds up well that I sometimes pack if I don't feel like lugging the heavier Sitka gear along.

Regardless of which gear you buy, getting it dried out every night in the backcountry is critical or you're putting on wet gear every morning.....   :twocents:

I use my tipi with stove for the late October and November hunts where I know heavy rain and snow are expected.

Thanks for the all replies,  currently i have cabelas mto-50 gortex and also i have Browning set which is super lite . MTO-50 is a little bet heavy for my taste  but the Browning on the ather hand is not durable at all , my pants got shredded after two days hunting in a heavy brash. I'm looking for durable/lite set like firstlite/kuiu/sitka or any ather brands, just dont know which one is better, or should i get two one for open country and one for heavy timber.

I have Kuiu Yukon pants and I wear the gators as well.  I hunted in Westside blacktail country several times last year and never got wet. Best rain gear I've ever worn.

I upgraded from the Cabelas MT050 stuff. That stuff was good while it was, but when it failed, it failed miserably

Stay away from First Lite. I'm disgusted at the quality of the pants that I own (merino wool) and their customer service was frankly revolting.

Anything breathable leaks at some point, and anything super lightweight tears. I have Kuiu and Sitka right now and it really is all a trade off, love my Sitka cloudburst but a little heavier than my Kuiu. Have the chugach and the Ultra NX, Ultra is very light but not too durable. Chugach is a good balance of light/packable/durable but did soak thru after an all day downpour with pack on last year. And most all high dollar packable stuff I've had is somewhat loud at best. Always looking for the unicorn though. Right now Sitka is my overall fave
