Some what new to the area. Any recommendations for good, trusted gunsmiths that are able to do a solid job fluting a barrel. Thank you for the help!

Karl Kampfeld is in Sandpoint Idaho and mostly only does barrel and bolt fluting.  He does extremely good work and flutes hundreds of barrels, bolts, and bolt handles a year.  His turn around time is second to none and his prices are easily on par with other top tier shops.  I haven't ever had Karl flute a barrel, I order mine fluted from the factory, but he's done other fluting work for me and it was top notch.  I've had the pleasure of meeting Karl in person at his shop, he is not only a very nice guy but has top notch equipment, too.

I looked into this a bunch a while back and Kampfeld Custom is definitely the best way to go.
