Crazy factory ammo prices!
« on: October 26, 2017, 08:01:34 PM »

I've been in the Firearms/ reloading/ shooting game for long enough that pretty much everything from A-Z. I get at cost. I have been reloading my own stuff for 31 years. Every now and then I get jacked up in a spot time frame wise where I have to purchase factory ammo to make it happen due to the time frame and availability.

40 rounds factory loads. $168.95!! INSAINE !!!

175gr Long Range Accubond's. Miff's me off to pay it.....

If i'm not mistaken, only Nosler makes factory ammo in that caliber, so they take advantage of it and sell it for 70 bucks a box...that's pretty much what you pay for non widely used calibers like that.

38 but I short stoked it twice and couldn't find two that lodged themselves in the cracks of the pavement close to the center line in the middle of state route 410 near Naches. I've always preferred shooting off a paved surface.

 just remember that sight to barrel offset, don't want to crease the hood of your truck.

Buying factory ammo does suck.

A good way to not crease your hood is cross the necks of two half gallon whiskey 🥃 bottles and use them like a bipod.

This works way better when they're both half-empty. So, greatest accuracy is about mid-Saturday morning.

:yeah: but you should have bought 2 boxes. Those whiskey bottles are great back at camp to “check yer zero” 12 times before the evening hunt.
Just tend your own and live.

I haven't bought factory ammo in about fifteen years. That is absolutely crazy! Thanks for the heads up I will definitely make sure to never let my brass sit empty.
