Daughter drew a Methow fall turkey tag
« on: November 01, 2017, 05:33:13 PM »
My 13 year old daughter drew a fall Methow turkey tag.  The season is November 15 to December 15 in GMUs 218-231 and 242.  I haven't been  up the Methow in years and I know a lot of the area has changed.  Does anyone have any tips for a good area to try?  This would be her first turkey hunt so I want to try and make it a good one and haven't hunted turkeys myself in over 10 years....

Any tips would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

Saw a lot of turkeys running around when we were over there on Oct. 19th & 20th.  Almost exclusively on private property.  You will need to get over there a day early and ask permission to get one.  That would be your best bet.

Most of the turkey's are down in the valley. Town birds, they work their way though my place every few days. I'm just out of Twisp.
