Possible area to shoot long range
«
on:
November 01, 2017, 06:04:13 PM »
Hi Guys I have a desert sheep hunt in Nevada coming up at the end of the month.Wondering if anybody has any idea of where a guy could possibly do some target practice with the ability to shoot up to maybe 500yards. Looking to just verify some new loads. I'm in Gig Harbor and willing to travel a couple of hours away. Feel free to send a PM. Thanks !

The cowlitz rifle range has a 300 yard range. The Pe Ell range has a longer range but it is for members only, $30.00 per year if I remember right. Check out the web sights they both have one.

Upper Nisqually Sportsmans Club in Eatonville has a 550 Yard range. I believe you have to be a guest of a member though. You could look on their website to find out. I know it's $10 for guests. I'm a member and only live 15 min away. If you need me let me know.

There might be some chatter in the cold bore thread. Hit the search button and use cold bore challenge as your wording.
For a range where I shoot Seattle Rifle and Pistol in Machias, just outside of Lake Stevens has a 500 yard range. However, it is not available for general use. Members and the public have access to it during sanctioned events or "any sight, any rifle" shooting days.

You will need to review the calendar for when the shoot is available. Targets provided.

Up by the race track (Cougar mountain area???) there is an awesome old school range with room to reach out to 1000 yds. Good guys running the show and about as laid back as you'll find. They'll let you drive out to check targets if it's a slow day haha!

Wenatchee, North Central Washington Gun Club, Fancher Heights, East Wenatchee. Membership required, I believe it's $75 a year. The race track is actually on gun club property, it sits inside the shooting area so on race nights several ranges are closed.
