There are wolves all over in the Dayton unit. My brother saw the same black wolf this spring in the west side of the unit and there were wolf tracks all over the Payne Hollow Road late this summer.

There has been a confirmed pack in the Tucannon since 2013 and a pending confirmed Touche pack, along with plenty of random sightings all over including the farm country outside Pomeroy. Wolves in the Dayton shouldn't really come as a surprise to anyone.

The state said there is a rancher on Robinette mountain has heard lots of howling near his pastured cows and has heeded the states advice to increase human activity in the area.
