I have a few on my rimfires but the only one I have on a centerfire is this one on my CZ 527 Varmint in 204 Ruger.

Look great guys!  I am getting ready to probably buy a stock for my Savage as well.

Mr Smallington - did your Savage already have the detachable mag, or did you add that when you did the stock?  My Savage has an internal magazine, so working to convert to detachable.

I have the Savage Axis II 30-06. it comes with the detachable mag. and it fits the new stock alright... not super snug but I cant pry it out either. feeds fine. just not as snug of a fit as id like it to be.

I really like Boyds Stocks. I was going to get one for my Remington 700 338 WM but ended up finding a deal on a Bobby Hart Accublock laminated stock on eBay for only $135, so I got that one and now I don't need a Boyds. I may get one for my Husqvarna though, debating between that and a synthetic Bell & Carlson.

You said it doesn't fit as "snug" as you like. Probably what it needs is to be glass bedded.

I have been debating/wanting a Boyds for a couple years.  Now that I have a rifle I am pretty happy with it is time, only to see their prices have increased close to 50% in a year.  :-/

I better get on it before they go up some more!

I think you were only looking at the price of their new AT-One stock, which is $189, because all their other stocks are still $137.  I do think they've gone up a little because if I recall, the first one I bought a few years ago was a little less than that.

I'm really not a big fan of wood but for an inexpensive stock that still has decent quality, they're pretty hard to beat.

glass bedded?  I will say it is a bit heavier for sure but i normally have a rest i set it on while hunting.  I paid 140$ for mine but there a lot of extras you can add. engraving for grips. different pads. finishes.

I am referring to their normal stocks, they were $99 up until about a year ago, then jumped to the $125 range and now $137+  The heritage for example is $152 (says starts at 137, but bottom shows 157 regardles of wood choice)

That said the AT-one is on my short list with the Heritage and Pro Varmint.

I threw an at one on a gun this year so my boy, wife, and I could all shoot a decent semi custom rifle without getting 3 built. It works good for that. It’s heavy but overall I feel it’s a decent value for what you get if multiple users are going to shoot the same gun.

This is one I put on a new Grendel build.  I have a couple more on bench and varmint guns.  I prefer a pistol grip stock on a huntign gun but thisone might get some field time on coyotes.

After the first shot the rest are just noise.

Make mine a Minaska

Their prices jump around a LOT.  I have been on their site and bought a Contender stock set for ~ $70, when I told another guy about it it was almost $200 a week later.  About six months later another friend went to get one expecting to pay $200 and it was something like $39 for the stock and fifty for the forend.
