Back in the day they would have him in the backseat, find his buddy, question them separately and when the story doesn't jive off to the slammer he goes.  Then, he can tell his story to the judge and jury.

There needs to be a serious correction in the whole justice system, it's just disgusting, and the way it's headed it will only get worse!

Very glad the OP got his truck back, I had a vehicle stolen last year, not to mention numerous other items stolen in previous years, I don't expect to see any of it again.

He's probably high right now laughing about it with his buddy about how nothing happened.  Just encourages him to do it again.  Hopefully next time he rips off some cartel jefe.....

Glad they got the truck back but irritating that nothing will happen!

I found the turd that stole a downhill bike from my garage.  Found him walking down the street with it, confronted him and made him load it in the truck for me.  Went back to my place and then went with an officer to look for him.  We found him and he was arrested.  After giving a fake name they found out that he had 5 outstanding warrants for his arrest, and the bike he had stolen from me was worth enough to make it a felony.  I was told that if we didn't see him steal it, he would likely get off without any charges even being filed.  I was also told that he would be back out on the street within 10 days.  Basically after serving his outstanding warrants, and that then the game would start all over again, ie wouldn't show up for court and would have warrants put out for his arrest and would stay open until he was caught again.  Frustrating!

I think these turds need to slip and fall a few times injuring their head while you are talking to them. If you know what I mean. This is getting rediculous!!!
The perps have all the advantage and they know it.
