Kuiu bino harness or alaska guide creations kiss
«
on:

Hoping for some personal experiences, I'm trying to decide between the kuiu bino harness and the alaska guide creations kiss. Any thoughts?
I wear kuiu vias so I like the idea of staying true to one camo pattern. I also like the weight of kuiu's harness. I'm not sure if I like that the binoculars are suspended from your neck instead of the pack being suspended from your neck.
The kiss model seems really nice but the weight and bulkiness is definitely more than kuiu. I don't want a bunch of pockets on there because I won't use them so I think I'd only be interested in the kiss model.
Anyways, if I could hear some of your personal reasons for each I'd appreciate it.

My son and I both have the AGC cub and it is the best harness Ive seen. My father in law and bro in law both have the kuiu. It works and I'm sure lighter but does not match the AGC in quality and functionability. If you want the best harness get the AGC and if ya want to match get the kuiu.

I've had the kuiu for a few years now and I do love how small it is, stays close to my chest and I don't feel a pull on my neck. I can get my 10x42's out and back in with one hand if needed, the only complaint is they don't keep out all the elements. Whether it's rain or pine needles, eventually they get in.

I have had both, well I have the agc cub, and prefer it over the kuiu. It's my third try with harnesses and the agc is by far my fav.

AGC here...love it. Didn't think I'd like them, now I can't see myself not using one. The little extra pockets are awesome. I can keep my GPS in one, a lighter, pocket knife, etc in those pockets.

I can't comment on the AGC harness, but I do have and use the KUIU harness.
Once you get the KUIU harness adjusted properly there is zero tension on your neck. Very comfortable. I prefer to run a relatively light and "clean" system whereby I only have my bino's in the harness, rangefinder in a pocket on the right side strap of the chest harness. I tuck my Kestrel Weathermeter into the little pocket on the left side and ear plugs tucked into the little pocket on the right. I've never used the sil-nylon cover as I generally layer a piece of rain gear over the top of everything to keep out the elements. The only complaint I have is that the connector buckles attached to the chest pouch need to have slightly longer straps to make snapping it in easier for people with big hands.
All of my other larger miscellaneous "possibles" go in the Guide Lid of my Kifaru pack, which has a medium belt pouch installed on the top for small miscellaneous stuff like headlamps, ear-buds, a lighter, extra ammo, etc.
The other chest harness I use is a Kit Bag from Hill People Gear. It's absolutely bomb-proof, 100% made in the USA by a couple of great guys, and is a superb way to discretely carry concealed while fly-fishing, mountain biking, or short day-hikes.

I have the AGC and really love it. I was worried about the bulk, but think it is somewhat a moot point as the binos themselves have a bunch of bulk and the carrier only adds a small amount to that. I like having all the pockets so I have a wind checker, calls and rangefinder at the ready. It's easy to put one thing on and have it all available no matter what coat, pack, pants etc I happen to have on.
