Congrats on getting it done and taking an ethical shot rather than one on the run.  That is going to be some great table fare there.

Had his tenderloins at my friend's house the night we shot him...DELICIOUS!

I can be honest, I was going back and forth about wanting to shoot a giant and possibly eating the tag...

When it was all said and done, I enjoy the meat and hunting too much to not kill a deer...and when you have an any buck tag and there aren't many big bucks around, what's a guy to do?? Shoot a dang buck and put some meat in the freezer!
Wishing I was fishing...or in Wyoming

He tells me that in 2015 he killed 30-something deer (3 point or better) on his property and this year 7 bucks were killed.
One time we were talking to a guy about fishin...he be all like "Man, me and my buddies used to take 5-gallon buckets full of perch outta this little lake every day for the whole season, now the perch are pretty much gone...what happened?"
Hmmmm....

I have heard similar stories of bucks taken and perch as well.
Pain is temporary, achieving the goal is worth it.

I didn't say it would be easy, I said it would be worth it.
