Any waterfowl guides in SW Washington?

Howdy all,

I posted this on the Virtual Campfire, and then pulled my head out of my (you know where) and realized that I should have posted it here in Waterfowl...

I am going to be visiting my sister in SW Wash over Thanksgiving and would like to take my bro-in-law out hunting.  I live over here in beautiful Central WA, and he is brand new to hunting, so I am thinking that I want to hire a guide to make sure we can get him into some birds.  (plus, I don't know the land in SW WA)

Do any of you down in that neck of the woods know of any guides down there?  Thanks!

No guides in SW Washington anymore.  Ridgefield Refuge would be an easy place to go if you want to do it yourself.

About 1.5 hrs north of you you have Lincoln Creek . There used to be some duck clubs along there that might have guided hunts.

I've seen Cedarville Farms occasionally advertise guided hunts down there.  Maybe S2 Outfitters as well, but I don't know if they guide on the WA side...

If your brother in law doesn't have much shotgun experience I would try to find a trap range and practice shooting clays before hunting.  It could do more harm than good to drop up to 400 bucks a head on a hunt when he might not hit a thing.  Also TG week is very busy week for water fowling so all the good guides could be booked solid. If I get back to waterfowl hunting again it would be on other sides of the borders because of the poor consistency of public lands in recent past.  So good luck getting someone else going because I know how hard it is when I can't even deal with it anymore.

I would look into S2 Guide Service with Erik Strand.  He is across the river, but you can get a 1 day license.  He will put you onto the birds.
