It's not the size of the trophy that make's it a trophy.

Only doing NWCO work, but thought I would share -

Since Thanksgiving -

Beaver - 9
Otter - 7

All the otters have come from two traps 10 yards apart. All were caught since the 22 of December and all where male.  22.5, 23.5, 24.75, 28.5, 29.5, 30.25, & 30.5 lbs.  The 30.5 lber is at Moro Taxidermy for a full body mount. 5 of the beaver have come from those same 2 traps and one other 15 yards below them.  The interesting part is 5 of the otter have bypassed that lower trap to get to the upper ones.   The 30.5 and the 22.5 where both old from the looks of the teeth, or what they had left of them, which I also thought was interesting.  I also have an additional 6 traps 1/4 mile away in the swamp that feeds the creek and haven't caught anything there.

The additional good part is that these otter are most likely part of the the Pilchuck mob that attacked a kid and his grandmother a few years back just a few miles down stream.

For the beaver: 49.5, 45, 44, 37,34.5, 28.5, 26.5, 24.75, and 23.5

May that for which I prepare never come to pass.
Don't Tread On Me!
