Hatfield flintlock - anyone know about these?

Hi all, I picked up a 50 cal Hatfield flintlock on a whim because I thought it was a good price and may be worth more than the asking price. 


Does anyone know how to age these rifles?  I was told this one is likely really old due to the hexagon shaped ramrod.   

How could I determine the value of the rifle?

Here you go, they were made in the late 1970's and 1980's, to some that is really old, to me not so old I remember thinking about buying one but went with a custom 54 cal flint southern mountain  by Jim Rugh.
