Yes, the 2nd annual HOAL calling contest will be held June 20 at the Grant County Fairgrounds in Moses Lake, WA.
We are also scheduled to be holding the state sanctioned duck calling contest here as well on the same day.
Contests held will be:
Novice/ Jr Duck and Goose
Open Duck and Goose
Two man duck and goose
State duck
I can always use volunteers so if you are really interested please let me know.
Instead of having the event catered we will be doing our own BBQ thang. Trust me, it will be much tastier.
We had a great event last year and hope to do even better this year. Our volunteers were outstanding and I have high hopes for a great event this year.
The sponsors are numerous and varied (From Sportsman's to Avery, Final Approach, Bill Saunders calls, etc...)
Judges will be Saunders, Strand, Eidson, a few well-known callers from OR, Rob Strong (bet he didn't know that, hehe), Cortina (see previous), me, maybe Shane Rossen if he isn't competing in the state duck.
We had good judges last year and I hope to get better for this year.
$25.00 for individual contests (beside juniors) and $50.00 for two-man contests. Juniors are $5.00
