Where can you get the insulated piping for a decent price? I'm looking got 14', but I can only find in increments of 4/5' and they want like 150 per section. Sorry to jack the thread

That's actually not a bad price at all, a touch over my wholesale cost.  Depending on Brand, you won't find it much cheaper, it's expensive stuff.
Look for used if your looking to save $$$, I see some good used prices on craigslist occasionally.

How long do the new, efficient stoves keep a fire?  Can you choke it down to last 12 hours or more?

I had some real good dry maple last winter that I could get ten hours under the right conditions. That's the longest ive ever been able to achieve.

I ask because with old stoves 12 hours is no problem with average wood.  I’ve used a few efficient stoves and it seemed to me that you can’t restrict the burn as much.  I’m curious if my experience is accurate or not?

Oldies are best...  My Schrader  barely holds 4 pieces of 16"- wood and burns all night.  Heck I have had coals at noon.  Heats this house to point of opening window, 1600sqft.  Not certified of course.  Bought a new one in the old house in 2007.  Crap.  Crap.  Best I can come up with sorry.  Replace baffles, replace fans, replace seals etc.  No thanks, rather have baseboards.

All depends on how big and what kind. The catalytic stoves can run on low for a long time.

I've had neighbor's before with pre-EPA stoves who choked them down for a long burn. I'm glad I don't anymore.
I look at it like this. With a newer stove and dry wood, you can still throttle it down. But the smoke will burn in the top of the box causing more heat and cleaner emissions.

I have a lopi endeavor and am very happy with it. That said my brother recently bought a blaze king and he gets over 24 hours of burn time out of it.  His stove is simply amazing.  I was actually pretty happy with the 12 to 13 hours i was getting until he got his stove.  Highly recommend you check out blaze king stoves.

I just put in a Quadrafire 7100 into a new house and love it.  I have been thinking of doing a review of it on here, one of these days...

I'm not sure if they still sell them, but last time I was in Cutters Supply in Enumclaw, they sold wood stoves.

Yes Cutters supply is a great local business and the owners, Dick and Pam Brown are great people.  They can help you with what you need to know and maybe more importantly not what you don't need

I am heating 2600 sq feet with A Hearthstone Equinox  it cook's us out and we have to open doors and windows. It will run up to 10 to12 hours on a full load as advertised.
