North sound GMU 407
« on: November 21, 2017, 12:30:35 PM »
With late muzzle loader opening tomorrow and the closest unit to me being north sound does anyone have any tips on finding the elk west of highway nine? Places to start looking? I’ve been up there quite a bit but am having trouble locating them, anything helps

They're around, but very few and far between. Hard to pattern. Good luck.

I’ve heard that about that heard, very nomadic rarely in the same place for very long, but that’s why I love elk hunting.

I live in the area and have hunted it for years. It’s a lot of private farm land and timber land. You will see them in farmers fields every so often. Personnaly i don’t really go out there more than once or twice a year if i didn’t tag out in early season. I go down south for elk.
