Doesnt Rbros guarantee a .5 or .25 MOA.?  Not sure you can get that from slapping a few parts together??

Yes you can. Had more than a few factory rifles shooting factory fodder that would too....

But I think the game was to build a rbros.  Heck I dolled up a rifle that shoots like that with store bought bullits. I took this as a have fun spend money in a fantasy at this shop.

They make lefty's.
I have 4 in my safes.
 1- Rogue  LH action 6.5x47 Lapua, 2- my daughter's Remington 700 LH 6.5x47 Lapua,   3-Phoenix LH 338 Lapua, 4- Remington 700LH 264 Win Mag.

To answer the OP's question, my perfect all around-er for the above is my RBros built 264 WM on a 700 Remington LH long action, 24" Rock mountain rifle contour 8 twist barrel.
Jewell trigger, B&C mountain rifle BDL stock with aluminum bedding block. Nightforce 2.5-10x32.

I've seen a few kids try to cobble together off the shelf rifles and claim sub  MOA rifles.  On their best days they might eek out 1- MOA 3 shot group.
A custom rifle will hold is accuracy over the life of the barrel, or in the case of my 6.5, barrels.

h20hunter, I'm guessing you're going to pick someone who plays along and get them a REAL nice Christmas present?! In that case let's go Carbon Hunter in either 280AI or 7 SAUM (either will do fine) and topped with the Razor AMG with the MRAD reticle.
Disappointments are inevitable, misery is optional.

I've found with the larger calibers you still need to tune the load to get into the sub moa typically regardless of the maker if starting cold in load selection.  If smith provides you with load data that he knows works you may be sub moa right outa the box.

I'm not even going to play this game, because it'll just make me sad.

This is a tough one, man do I love the thought of ever even holding one of these rifles, let alone OWNING one, but maybe someday.. I've never heard a single negative thing about RBros rifles, ever.. my dream build would have to be the Carbon Hunter chambered in 26 Nosler(I believe they offer that) topped with a Nightforce ATACR 5-25x56 scope. Pair that with some custom turrets, it'd be lights out! If they don't offer 26 Nosler then I'd probably go with 6.5x.284 Norma or7mmRUM, any of them would be a hell of a build.. a guy can only dream haha! Happy Thanksgiving to all!

That is what Rbros does, provided a load with my 7mag and was shooting sub-moa the 1st outing. I only own 1 but have shot several of their rifles and personally, I think they are worth the money.

For a wish list...... Carbon hunter in 280AI w/ NXS 5.5-20

I would say a 338 edge would be awesome.  Especially since ADG brass is starting to make some factory brass for it.  I really like my Swaro X5 scope so i would stick with that but maybe got with the 5-25x50.  LW long range carbon hunter would be the way to go.

Nothing against Anybody, but it’s pretty easy to have a sub moa rifle built for a lot less, to YOUR  specs...

Since this seems like I don't build rifles to customers specs, let's clear some things up right now

The configurations on the website are popular options but are in no means THE only options.  Probably half the builds I do are directly to customers specs whether it's a full custom or rebarreling their Remington.  Of the close to 300 rifles I've built this year the majority have been under .25 moa with the exception of a couple of #2 barrel magnums that were just under .5 moa.  And yes, virtually all of my customers can and shoot the rifles below the 1/2 moa bar.

Also, not sure on Jim's daughter seeing an affiliate of R Bros.  There is only one of me and I'm not dating her to my knowledge.
