So this lucky guy gets a huge bull in Pennsylvania , on his second winning lottery tag , he spent $10.90 for the tag , $250 for a guide , $100 for the out of state deal ,. It's the $250 for the guide that really irritates me , they claim to have only 1000 elk in the state and some guide gets him on the critter in two days !!! Again $250 , I hope every $1500 guide in Washington reads how idiotic they really are , shut up and drive your pretty camoe wrapped duely deasle pig straight off a cliff cuz all it does is show your criminal like business , WOW !! THATfeels good !!

And another thing ! My uncle has a picture of his elk , him ,and his guide he hired back in 1987 , his name was Jim Summers , he lived in the woods or I mean in a 82 Jeep wagoneer , up by Usk , my uncle has told the story several times , the elk keeps getting bigger but the price of the guide stays the same Everytime ! $70 , four pancakes , two eggs , and enough coffee  at the Usk dinner to drowned in , I always wanted a picture like that , and looked into a guided hunt and was completely disgustedly scared straight ,,,,,,, to my tree stand , what a bunch of crooks , and the last I checked there are 7500 elk in our state now so get real , I get the inflation thing , but unless your cooking me breakfast , descenting my laundry and carrying me to my launch sight , package in my critter , driveing me home and mowing my lawn fixing my roof , rebuilding the heads on my 74 Chevy pickup , and making me dinner for the next year , I'm not calling any of you crooks , course we can't forget the price that chopper ride they all are hiding in the fine print I guess ?

Not sure who charges $1500.00 Here at WPO its $300 per day and that includes, horseback ride deep into the wilderness and food, caping of the animal and packing out of the animal. So for us to take a hunter into the wilderness for a day. We are feeding animals at 3:30 in the morning, tacking up at 4:15, then hauling up the mtn which takes almost an hour. Then loading up all the hunters unnecessary items he thinks he has to have. Then riding in about 3.5 hrs. Hunting all day then taking care of the animal, loading up everything riding off the mtn, unloading everything, then the drive back home, then un tacking  the animals, then feeding all the stock. I guess what Im getting at is during hunting season Im putting in 15 hour days for a $300 bucks. So if you think this is to much cryder you know what you can kiss, the backside of my horse !!! And I bet you dont have a clue on how much the insurance and permit fees our wonderful FS requires !!!

How in the world can you have a business for $300/day?  I realize the guides will get a tip outside of the normal charge, but still, those aren't even slave's wages.  I have never hired a guide before, but those prices seem ridiculously low to me.

I don't no what w.p.o. is but isn't it the same price 300 a day ? Or have I lost another screw ? These guys work there tails off I get that , but hand me the bucket I'll take in the feed with cat like stealth movements all the way in and out , anything to bring rates down so a fossilized stalker like myself can fling a stick at something with red eatable meat , that my surgeon will allow ,,, yep !
