RWS 1081 Musket Caps
« on: November 29, 2017, 08:29:35 AM »
Well, in a day or two my early Christmas present will be here a new CVA Accura V2 Northwest and wouldn't ya know it, a guy can't find the recommended musket caps any place on the planet.

I have looked at probably 8 different big name places on-line and several smaller ones too and absolutely can't believe they would be that difficult to find.

Rest assured i will be buying a good amount when i do get the chance.

I have some "notifications" enabled at various places which will send me a note when they receive some (Hopefully....let me see how'd that saying go, you can have hope in one hand...and pooh pooh in the other) but is anybody aware of an obscure place that may have RWS 1081 Musket Caps.

Send me a PM and i'll make sure the place remains a secret

Thanks guys i appreciate any help

It's probably not a huge secret, they are just hard to find. Some places have them for a set time, and then the case they order in sells out and that's it because it took a month to sell.  I sent you a message on some places.
If I'm not selling, I should be hunting, If I'm not hunting, I should quit!

Some things, like musket caps, are still best purchased at brick-and-morter stores.

I don't know where to go in your neighborhood, but you could call Bob's in Longview and see if they'll ship you some.

Take a drive.

Greens in Oak Harbor. Call first.

You will have the best results going to stores that are less popular or out of the way. When you find them buy two three tins. They keep just fine.

Thanks you guys for quite a few great suggestions. I have made some phone calls and will be on my way to get myself a few tins.!!

This was a very successful "reach" for me, that many on here have provided something good in return. I appreciate that and hope to be able to return the favor to another member on here someday...some way no matter what "ask" is.

Thanks again fellas..

Bob

Sportco in the Fife area, east side of I-5 had them last time I was there, but call them first. You will love that rifle, btw.

They were hard to find in the Vancouver area too. I jumped the river and went to Fishermans marine supply and found them. 200 packs only, 24.99.
