Another great trip to Montana.
« on: November 26, 2017, 02:44:57 PM »
Been going to Montana for about 20 years now and still love it. This is my sons 2nd year being able to hunt (13 years old ) and it make the trips that much better. Have to brag about my RBROS 7mm SAUM rifle. that thing shoots lights out and it was windy all week. Great gun
My co pilot was not much help. lots of this on the 15 hour trip

lots of time glassing.

View from glassing spot. My sons buck came out of the trees on the left following a couple does

sons buck. the ridge right above the antlers is where we were spotting.

Later that week I found one i wanted. I rough scored him at 176" if not broken right about 181" ( I'm not a expert scorer so i could be off a little )

Some other bucks and antelope are finally making a come back after a major die off.

Congratulations to both of you on great bucks, even more so on the quality father-son hunt/adventure. Thanks for the report and the extra photos.

Some good looking animals. What general  area were you in? Last time I was in the Broadus  area a couple years ago, mature bucks were few and far between. The country you were hunting in looks like north central, but I could be wrong.

Beautiful!  Thanks for sharing
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.
