I’ve got 7 points, but I’m planning on hunting archery season in ID and putting in with a buddy for NM rifle elk so I think I’m just ghost pointing for this year.

I put in for multiseason, quality elk, bull elk, cow elk, spring bear, quality deer, plus elk for old-timers

I think if you add up the cost of the points plus the MS fee plus the resident elk tag, you could simply buy an OTC tag in MT and hunt all seasons with way, way more opportunity.

If I lived 30 minutes from good elk country that had general seasons, I might look at it differently.

I’ve got 6 points, if someone wants to give me the 6.60 or 8.80 or whatever I’ll apply with em to help boost your odds...and we likely won’t draw. I’m outta the multi-elk game.

MT would have been a great idea 40 years ago, but now I am a little past my prime, so Washington State it is.

Myself and buddy both drew multi elk last season(we never draw s..t!)  And he drew an Eastside Bull permit and killed a dandy 6X6, then comes westside rifle opener and I tagged out opening morning,so sometimes the stars align. If it can happen to us it can happen to anyone
