Muzzleloader suggestions

I’m looking to get a second muzzleloader as either a backup or my main rifle to my knight bighorn. What do you guys suggest? Thanks

Depending on what your budget is,  you could get a knight wolverine.   They are just like the Bighorn but have a 22" barrel instead of a 26".  And they are quite a bit cheaper in price.  If you like the Bighorn and are comfortable with the way it functions the Wolverine would be perfect.

I only habe one Muzzleloader and I honestly think it is the best available. It is a Thomposn Center Blackdiamond XR S/S in .50 cal. shoots incredible. The XR (stands for extended range)
Look into it, You will be impressed. Simple design and easy to clean.
 I still can't get over how accurate it is at 200 yards.
Great gun and one I will never sell.
It was recommended to Me by the guy that showed Me all that I know about muzzle loaders.
He said Buy this one You will not be disappointed. So I did
My Dad has several Knights, My gun shoots circles around them.

The nice thing about a Wolverine or another Bighorn is the parts are completely interchangeable.

Unfortunately it doesn't look Washington legal because of the shotgun primer and does not appear to be exposed nipple cap modifiable.

Anybody that might even consider this thing - take a close look at the limitations applied to this rifle.  Not to mention it is not PacNorWest legal... and how would you ever apply open sights...

I would think you would need to shoot it like a shotgun... perhaps a line down the top of the can would suffice....
Or put a scope on it...
Great for other states just not this one.

You could put M16A2 style sights on it, the big carry handle and raised front.

I have a bighorn and a disc extreme. I like that the disc extreme bolt is close enough to the nipple to keep it from falling off when walking.

I have a traditions vortek Stryker fire. Accurate as hell its been great but I really really like the knight ultralight after handling them.

Main gun is a Knight Ultra Light, shoots great, very nice gun. For back up I went more traditional and found a unfired T/C Hawkins in .50 cal..... same gun I started with 30+ years ago. Fun gun to own, shoot, and hunt with, normally I my back up is identical to the other, or as close as possible, not so much in this case

I have always used my Remington 700, 50 cal. and love it. This year I purchased a 2nd one for my son. I found it here in Yakima at a pawn shop. $300.00. Stainless and in perfect shape. You can't beat this muzzeloader.

I don't think the new style 700 ultimates are Wa. legal. But the older Rem. Are.

Your dad bought his first Knight - then 2nd and 3rd Knight..... then finally realized they don't shoot real well and proceeded to buy 4 more.
