The summer deer pic was from this year, the second deer I posted (rut buck) was from 2 years ago.

That first buck is 150 lbs max in that summer photo.  Back is straight, not a heavy buck - at least three years old, possibly four. Look at the size of his eyes in relation to his head - rather large.  Not Bambi large, but not a 5 or 6 year old buck.

The second buck is a pig.  His back looks like it's ready to break from the weight he's carrying, and his belly is rounded and hanging low .  His eyes appear tiny in relation to his head, which is expected for a buck over five.  The eyes don't grow with the skull, so they appear to get smaller and smaller as the buck ages.  This might even be a seven year old or older buck.

Not the same buck, unless he's found the fountain of youth.  No way that pig from two years ago looks like the first picture now.

Difference between August deer and one in the rut. Definitely the same deer. That rack is a freaking finger print.
If you shoot the first one you will never get that true trophy.

if this is accurate, that is some amazingly consistent antler genetics, too bad that one photo is so fuzzy.  One, or both, are amazing deer either way!

If you could see a picture of that buck right now today, he wouldn't look like either one of those pictures. He would still have the white face but he would be a shell of what he looked like back in late October thru mid November. Same Deer.

That buck's little brother lives in Maple Valley. Weird antler genetics.
