Great pics,  what kind of camera are you using?  I just picked up a sony A6000 and was trying to get the same water effect that you have this weekend but couldn't figure it out.  Any tips on what to adjust?
Thanks colersu22. I'm using a Nikon D810, the camera far exceeds my abilities, but it's a lot of fun. I'm not familiar with the Sony, but if you put it in shutter priority mode or manual mode and then use a shutter speed of 1/2 second to several seconds (depending on how fast/rough the water is) you'll get the smoothed out look on the water. Obviously with the slow shutter speeds you'll have to be on a tripod as well. YouTube tutorial videos can be very helpful too.

Thanks, I will give it a shot this weekend.  I think trying to shoot it without the tripod was causing my problems/blurry pics,  I just got a new head for my tripod and forgot to put it back in my pack after installing it.  I am excited to play around with it some more and all the landscape/wildlife pics on this forum help inspire me to get good pics.

Some really nice shots in there!  I think about going out with my camera every once in awhile....then  :dunno:
Good job actually getting out there and producing some spectacular results.

look up this book. I have the a6000 and love it. bought a cheap prime lens a while back and it's even better now.
