Garmin Rino 755t Problems
« on: December 22, 2017, 10:51:48 AM »
So I bought the Rino 755t back in August and had issues all fall with the charging, camera and Altimeter.

I just got done connecting it to the desktop and updating the software and apparently you should do that either every 2 months or at least a month before the beginning of the season that you plan to use it. According to Garmin they released the update to correct the charging issue about 3 months ago and it appears to have corrected the issue with the camera. I spoke with them about the altimeter and they told me the best way to have it setup and what to watch on the barometer to make sure it performs properly.  But also said if this doesn't fix it they may need to replace my radio.

Just a heads up for any of you getting one of these from Santa that you should update the software before you take it to the field. You don't want the headaches I had this year by not updating the radio first.
