That’s what this paragraph meant when I read it yesterday. Sarcasm chuckle again.  :chuckle:

I am told that there is no cell service where we will be so I don't know if I will be able to update this thread until I get back.  If I get to service I will do my best to give some updates.

Headed home now. Only had super sketchy cell service that we had to drive too.weather/lack of snow made hunting super tough. Lots of wolf tracks in the area, didn’t see any actual wolves but did see tracks. Had to not release dogs because of wolf concerns. After 6 days of not seeing a cougar Dale was nice enough to extend our hunt. Unfortunately it just didnt happen. I can say that the team worked very hard to find us cats. 120-140 miles of backroads each day starting at 2am, four different trucks going in four different directions. Actually hiked 5 plus miles three different days walking with the dogs for the dogs safety. That country is seriously steep. I am glad that I was in shape. My guide did tell me that 98 percent of their hunters would not have had to or even been willing to hike as far as I did.

We watched Deadpool one night before bed. For those that have seen that movie one line rings true from that movie for me, “maximum effort”.

For my last hunt of the year I once again did all that I could just didn’t fill a tag.

That’s hunting sometimes.

Well sounds like the whole crew gave it a honest effort. It's sad when it comes to a point you cannot release dogs because of Wolves.

We did two days ago and it was snowing when we left this morning.

It's nice when a plan comes together but sometimes...it just doesn't.  Way to give it your all!

Bummer no cat but I'm willing to bet it was still an overall good experience. Plus when you go back and get your cat next time it will be a little bit sweeter.
