Late muzzleoloader deer
« on: December 08, 2017, 09:16:52 AM »
Went out on Tuesday and turned up a couple does and a nice little two point. Had two opportunities at the two point, one at 2:00 and one just before dark. Just couldn't get close enough for a shot.

Heading back out next Monday and Tuesday. Question for those that have been out recently or have trail cameras up... Are you seeing any activity during daylight or has everything gone pretty much full nocturnal?

Anyone out there have luck filling there tag during the last couple days of the season before?

I have been up a few times this year.  Each time so far most of the seer i have seen have been after 12:00.  last weekend i took a nice 3x2 at exactly 12:05 and that was the first buck i saw.  I went up a few days later looking for grouse and saw 13 deer.  I didn't see a deer all morning but after 12:00 they started showing up.  Out of those 13 deer only one was a buck.  To me it looks like they are eating all night then bedding down in the morning for a few hours then up feeding again later in the day.

I have been trying to figure out how to post pics with my phone.  Although the pics might be a bit of a let down.  When i say "nice buck" just remember "nice is relative.
