Any sighting in Oak Creek or Eburg yet?

We will see what the next few weeks bring as far as starting to feed them. There's elk down low but no need to feed as there's still plenty of food.

Until they opened up the late mule deer draw hunts you could drive up through Joe Watt and see herds by the hundreds all day long.  A few years of the late season seemed to slow it down.  I went just a week earlier than now last year with snow already piling up and didn't see but 1 elk and it was a dead bull being loaded up after being shot from the road.  The guys said they seen 2-3 other bulls with it.  I am not aware of a tag for elk in 340 that time of year but they had some paperwork it looked like and being up in the middle of nowhere, I was not about to be much nosier than asking to look at the animal.  Maybe that is why they aren't all over down low these days?

Not many elk wanting fed and not feeding yet. Same goes with sheep. Should be able to see lots of elk off both passes and sheep all over the front side of clemans with binos and spotting scopes.

I was at Joe Watt yesterday and the elk were there but not right at the fence. The herd was straight back ~500 yards but could see plenty of elk with Binos

From the road? Guy wasn't from a certain genetically privileged bunch if ya know what I mean?

I don't get on here much these days and just realized a couple of comments and just finished reading 6 pages of "more blood and guts".  No, I wasn't trying to start anything but it is definitely a conversation worth having.  Seems to be beyond the control of the majority of people/hunters.  I just know it is really odd that you go from seeing herds that size to nothing at all within a handful of years time.  I just stated the only 2 facts that I knew of.  Pretty sad since I drove 3 1/2 hours to show 2 little girls that went over to see hundreds of elk 1 dead elk.  At least the people with the dead elk were kind enough to let us show the kids that we had brought over to see elk look at it for a little while.  I really hope this problem and the wolves problem get resolved fast.

Joe Watt has Elk. Haven't been over there in a couple weeks but their was a bunch of cows and 20 or so rag horns with a couple decent bulls.
