If the battery light came on while she was driving, I will almost give you a 100% solid internet guarantee that the alternator is failing. The remote start probably has nothing to do with your car going through batteries. It basically does nothing except start the car. That's not to say there isn't an electrical issue...just saying it probably doesn't have anything to do with your remote start setup. You'd need a meter to test the alternator yourself. Or if you're able to remove it yourself, you can take it to a NAPA and have them bench test it. I wouldn't just buy a battery unless yours tests bad. I don't know any shops down that way.Maybe @huntnphool does.

Little bro just took his super duty to the Ford dealership last month to have a brand-new front bumper installed. Came back to find said bumper installed crooked, dented, and paint chipped off the front fenders. Quality is our #1!

Not saying it's not the dealer's fault...just doesn't seem like the best option for body work.
Quote from: KFhunter on December 29, 2017, 08:59:02 AMNot all dealerships have a great service department....I took my work truck into a Ford dealer in Renton because it was having some issues starting They kept it for two days and did a 2000 dollar fix. Oddly enough the next morning (the first time I started it cold it did the same thing it had been doing before. Called my trusty service advisor pissed and he told me something else must have gone wrong in my ten minute drive home that displayed the same symptoms. After driving the thing back down there and having a few choice words with him they took it back and found some more stuff to do to it that sort of helped but never actually solved it. When I moved I mentioned it to my new service advisor at the enumclaw dealer and they fixed it overnight with an oil change and never had an issue with it after that.
