GMU boundary layer for Google Earth
« on: December 14, 2017, 08:10:29 PM »
Does anyone have a KMZ file layer for google earth of all the GMU boundaries in Washington State? There are a number of other states online in KMZ file form, but I can't find Washington. Would be great for all the fun google earth plotting I'm up to. TopRut has some great layers of land WITHIN the GMUs, but it doesn't have the actual borders.

My interpretation of the rules are open to interpretation.
Once I thought I was wrong but I was mistaken.

There is a link and some instruction on this thread

Thanks, but I receive a "missing or off limits to you" message when clicking that link. Are there a few minimum post count sections of the forum?

With nearly 11,000 posts, I suspect the minimum post limit isn't the case....  :chuckle:

Consider my request open... I found the GIS data here: http://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=24cc053aeb6c45edaa9e0245d80a2446

But, I have no idea how to convert it to KML.  Anyone have it sitting around?

I know what you mean... translation: I've found the GMU boundaries in one format, but I want it in Google Earth format.

Toprut.com

Toprut's got great stuff within the GMUs, but I did not find files with all GMUs outlined. frazierw's file worked out great.
