No these tree hugging orgs received a judgment because they challenged how info  that could be used to track, destroy, etc wolves was obtained. I.E. using helicopters and landing in wilderness areas to collar wolves and monitor them. Too bad the info wasn't requested by an outside group before this judgment. If anything good comes of the Trump administration it would be to stop silly lawsuits like this from happening.

Like they said in the article, the damage has been done. The information has been gathered and the patterns have been tracked.  Let these groups just piss their money away.

Id love to hear the spokesman Mr. Gunnell from Conservation NW chime in on their stance regarding this ridiculous lawsuit :tup:Funny CNW supports anti hunting lawsuits submitted by groups like howling for wolves in Wisconsin and Minnesota and Michigan.

This  organization , CNW and its spokespersons Gunnel and Friedman,  sure seems to run to the media at every opportunity when it comes to bad mouthing and condemning sportsmen :dunno:

Yea they just don't get how much money(last I heard it was 3 billion) hunters supply to the conservation of wildlife when groups like those contribute next to nothing.

The article is maddening.

"State officials have been concerned wolves are having a detrimental effect on elk populations pursued by sport hunters. But environmental groups contend wilderness areas are specifically set aside to allow for natural prey-predator dynamics free of human interference."

Because no one else apparently benefits from abundant ungulate population, just "sport hunters".  :bash:

Destroying research just hurts the cause of any environmental group, this makes no sense.  No one benefits from it, even if it was "illegal" it was intended to benefit the animals, idiots just wasting donation dollars.  Wish people knew what their dollars went to when they donated to those environmental groups.  Lawyers get rich while animal populations suffer

well not when their lawyers win the case and the gov (us, being it's a federal wilderness area) ends up paying their lawyers bill when they win

:yeah:
That's what it's all about, it has very little to do with saving/protecting animals. It's quite a little cash crop for enviro/anti groups.

You can thank the Equal Access to Justice Act for most of these lawsuits.  http://www.strata.org/wp-content/uploads/ipePublications/Final-Print.pdf Read it and weep.
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.

Problem is I don't believe it was intended for certain groups to continuously challenge the gov just so they could make money without really seeking any injustice.

When did humans not hunt animals as a part of the Overall prey-predator dynamic? We are the apex since we killed all the dinos :chuckle:
