I would take the 162gr ELD-X over any Sierra even if the ELD-X’s grouped half again as big as the Sierra’s, especially when it comes to hunting bullet terminal performance. Sierra needs to get out of the Stone Age and keep up. Hornady is dominating the marked in accuracy and technology.

For those that haven't done the trigger spring yet, I feel the upgrade made a very positive difference for my speed. Would recommend doing it.
Also, 20% off if ordered by midnight tomorrow from M*CARBO.
Use code Happy Birthday America
I have zero affiliation with them, just bought their spring and think for the cost it's worth it and wanted to pass on the discount code.

What's the difference between the hells canyon speed and the western hunter other than the barrel coatings?

I think thats the only difference. I have the western hunter. Felt like the stainless was better in the long run than the cerakote.

The only difference is the Western has a black coating, the Hell’s has a burnt bronze. The Hell’s is fluted the Western isn’t. My cost out the door for the Western 28 Nosler $730.00 and it shoots 1/2 moa with Nosler factory 160 Accubond’s.  It a hard choice to make.

FFBOWHUNTER,                                                                                                                                                           My 300 shot the best groups with Federal TBT 180 grain. I was really surprised how poorly most of the factory ammo shot

Browning is taking the rifle back for evaluation. I will try that after I get it back.

I had a really hard time finding a load for my hells canyon lr. Hated 200grn eldxs and 185 bergers. Settled on 165 tbt from federal. Was hoping to get a heavier bullet going out of it but they just flat out wouldn’t shoot. In a big way.

I have a western hunter in 6.5 shoots great, very accurate sub MOA. My son has the Speed in 270 shoots incredible with factory ammo. Here's a pic of his 200 yard group, rough measured with a crappy tape measure so I actually think its smaller the .75 inches.
Shut up and Hunt!

I shot a friends Browning X bolt and it was great. I'm looking into one now but can't decide on which one?  The xbolt pro long range with a hand lapped barrel and carbon fiber stock or the xbolt hells Canyon long range both in 300 win mag
