No I usually just wash my clothes in the no scent wash store them in a tote and call it good. Was watching some show and saw this as an advertisement and wondered if anyone ever used them.
Just remember not to  :pee: into the wind

Either you guys have mystical powers or you've never hunted from a tree stand for more than about 5 minutes in the Mtns.   :dunno:

I have an airtight closet in my house where all my gear is kept in the off season (except for the bow and case).  Gear is kept in totes or waterproof bags when in field.
May that for which I prepare never come to pass.

Haha that’s why I changed it “try to” keep the wind in the face

I moved to ground blinds for my stand hunts, three years ago because mountain winds are so aggravating! This year, we had a few awful moments due to wind and thermal changes in the elk woods.

Gotcha   So in regards to archery hunting whitetail deer from a treestand I believe in a fairly strict scent control regiment.  I also decide which stand I'm going to sit in for the day based off of the wind forecast for the day.  The fact is though when you sit for 10-12 hours in the woods in a tree the wind is going to swirl.  If a scent control regiment can keep a buck in front of you for 5 extra seconds or get him to come to 30 yards instead of 60 then that can be the difference between dead deer and tag soup.  I would also argue that most archery hunters who consistently kill MATURE whitetail bucks have a strict scent control regiment.  If you rifle hunt or archery hunt/spot and stalk from the ground then yes play the wind and keep it in your face. I don't get nearly as crazy about scent control when hunting those ways but I also know that it wont hurt anything.

Exactly. Just because you’ll never completely fool their noses doesn’t mean it doesn’t help to do your best. Baby wipes, changing out baselayers, using scent free deodorant, breathing through the nose instead of mouth, not putting on outer layers until in the stand etc. all contribute a bit. Last week I killed a whitetail buck that crossed my downwind at less than ten yards. He knew something wasn’t quite right but I zipped him a few moments later. Thankfully I hadn’t just broken wind.

when chasing bugles in hot September though, trying  to face the wind is about all I can do  :chuckle:

I’ve got a spot that will require a tree stand to be hunted properly but I am going to hang it at least 35 feet to help dimishish the effect of swirling wind.
