They aren't long guns or pistols, they're "other firearms".  They have a short stock, if you put a normal stock on it then you're asking for trouble.

Ugly

If I were going that route I would get a KSG or a DP 12.  :twocents:

ridiculous huh  :chuckle:

but yup, skirting gun regulations this falls through the cracks so it gets picked up by the "all other firearms" rules.

Have one with a side saddle(Rem870). Rides in the truck. Ever have to exit the truck in a bad situation. It comes first with 3" inch #4 buck. My handgun is my secondary. Serious stuff in close.

They serve a purpose.

wish they'd flair that grip more at the top, doesn't take long and your hand is bunched up behind the trigger guard

It doesn't seem like those would be enjoyable to shoot

The shape of the grip is how they got it past the ATF. No matter what, your finger is jammed up behind the trigger guard after the first shot. If your going to shoot it for a session I highly suggest a good pair of shooting gloves.

It baffled my mind to. To make it worse you can buy one, but if you try to convert an old shotgun to this you're going to jail.

Now then, get your equipment—your quiver and bow—and go out to the open country to hunt some wild game for me.  Gen. 27:3
