Snow Nap
« on: December 27, 2017, 10:03:25 AM »
Shot this one this morning with my .243. Reason why I am sharing is for newbys and for veteran callers. My wife got me some Coyote Juice and a mimic call for x-mas. Anybody ever use this stuff? Well it worked. Mr. Coyote came in downwind running hard and never knew what hit him. I believe in this stuff now and think you all should have it in your bag of tricks.

What does the Coyote Juice do?
Well good question. I think its a cover scent . It says on the bottle " This is a strong, long range scent that coyotes just love. It appeals to their territorial, curiosity, and most importantly when calling, their hunting instincts ". Yesterday morning I seen a couple coyotes in the hay field out back behind the house. I went out and gave out a couple of pup distress calls. Here they come from around 800 yards, then they circled downwind from me, at around 300 yards one took off in the opposite direction and the other would not budge, just sat there looking my way, then ran off. So this morning I went to the same spot, but this time I took the coyote juice with me and put little dabs of this stuff onto bushes surrounding me. At around eight-thirty or so I see the coyotes and their in there usual place. I do a coyote howl followed with a pup distress and here they come again circling downwind but not like yesterday , they did not stop to smell the wind, the one coyote just kept running right at me. At 40 yards or so I had to give out a bark to slow him down, after the shot I don't know where the other one went .                             I never thought this stuff would work as really it has no smell at all. But for whatever reason it did work.
