Yep - figured that one out this summer when we sat down on the porch for lunch and one slithered under the cushion.  I would have made a good showing at the NFL combine for vertical leap.

If that went under the cushion on my porch, The porch  :yike:would be gone.

And my wife would have been on a bus to Alaska.

Yes, and on the flip side of the spectrum to a boa.  Very fast!

Rattler in shop.  I think it was stretched out along the roll up door and woke up when I opened the door to let the dogs out for the night.  Bad pic because it’s a screenshot of a video.  Needless to say with 2 kids and 2 labs running around this one didn’t make it.

Disregard the fat guy.  Picked this up swimming across the Missouri outside of Helena about 10 years ago.  Biggest bull snake I've seen.
