I don't think we can wait until May....

.....for your new Avatar!
:yeah: :chuckle:

You won't be disappointed!  Travis builds some good chootin guns
Second that👆 You will be very happy as are many on here including myself, with the rifle when complete!

We'll be even more happy with his new avatar.

Uh, yeah, but y'all are assuming his new avatar will be better, what if it's worse?!  :yike:

:ban:
:fire.:

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

That's awesome. I'm eager to hear reports on it when you get it.

Nice......Maybe your avatar should have you laying on a bear hide, rifle perched next to you, kinda looking like Burt Reynolds or someone like him............

Interested in seeing how this all turns out. Did you supply any donor parts? Regardless hope it's everything you wanted! This post has me pumped, I have the funds set aside and just searching and waiting to drop the hammer.

I've got a sort of custom rifle paralysis going on where every time I'm about to pull the trigger I change my mind. Light weight mountain, long range tack driver. 6.5x284 no wait 6.5 wsm hmm maybe 28 nosler... no definitely 338 Edge. In the mean time I continue to buy factory rifles which make me wonder if I need one at all, yet at the same time make me want one more than ever ( like the ugly tikka superlight that is 7 1/2 lbs with a 3-18x scope and full magazine and shoots 1/2" ) it's a viscous cycle.

I have guns that will do all that I need. I don't need such a gem as this. However,  you only live once. I went back and forth on caliber....so many options. Like my AR build....some may yawn at a 308....but it shoots and the 308 and loading comp will be around a long time. Same with the 7rm....tried and true and yeah, it isn't fancy or new but like time has told, it gets the job done. I admit tp a sense of relief now that we are in motion. No more what about this or that. I'm not donating anything....other than cash!

Congrats on a great rifle. I'm jealous as hell and maybe someday I will have one of Travis's rifles. The 7mm rem mag does nothing but drive tacks and kill stuff. Great choice!

Great choice in the 7 mag. I'm partial though.

That avatar though. I'm scared that it's actually you. You did send me that picture on Halloween....
