Turkey hen decoys ?
« on: January 28, 2018, 11:04:17 PM »
So here is my question. Feeder, breeder or lookout? Which body position would be more universal. I have the Avian x lay down and jake combo. Would like to add a more visible hen decoy in case I go with lone hen set up. Any recommendations are welcome.

I like to use the feeder early in the season and switch to or add the breeder. Late season a strutting Jake and a submissive hen will get the gobblers worked up. I personally don't put it an alert hen unless I've got a flock out.

Now then, get your equipment—your quiver and bow—and go out to the open country to hunt some wild game for me.  Gen. 27:3

I agree.  I would use a single feeder hen in the late season too.

Sweet, that was what I was thinking.  I appreciate the input.
