Carcass Camera
« on: January 22, 2018, 12:03:01 PM »
Buddy and I picked up a roadkill deer last week, figured I’d put a camera over the carcass and see what we could see, most of the 400+ images were ravens, which killed the batteries after a couple days unfortunately, but here are a couple that I figured were worth sharing

Cool, now you know where to go to kill a cat. It's always fun to put cameras on carcasses. You'll get less birds if you put it in the woods where it's not so easily seen, but I've done it both ways. Coolest photo I got was a bobcat and coyote at the same time, with the bobcat up on a stump and the coyote directly below on the ground.

I do. Might take a while to find but I'll look for it tonight.

Planning on going back out and doing some calling this week to see if I can get him to come play... With the stench of this carcass the last thing we wanted to do was move it lol. Backed up truck, dumped from can, drove away  :chuckle: it was hit pretty solid broadside, everything erupted  :puke:

The cats were pretty neat for sure, I love seeing them, the eagle definitely caught me by surprise though!

In the first picture is something you DON'T see to often, a Redtail Hawk right there with the ravens and or crows.
Nice cat pictures, my kid will be sending my trail cams back here shortly, then I can get them set out.

I think, not 100% certain, it’s a juvenile eagle. Haven’t seen one up close too many times but zooming in you can see a bit better. There’s another photo that’s a better one of the bird but I can’t seem to post it. Here’s some zoomed in a bit. Thoughts??
