I've got some of the 95gr .22 cal, 200gr .30 cal, and 230gr .30 cal bullets headed my way that are supposed to be here Thursday.

I don't have anything with enough twist to shoot the 95's, yet ;), but I'm looking forward to playing with those .30 cal bullets in my 300AX.

I'm no sort of expert at bullets.  Are these just for target/competition or are these bullets for game?  And are they all copper?

Thanks, ammo gurus of HuntWA...   -EB

They're a lead core bullet but with the type of tip these things have, I'm guessing expansion will probably be rather minimal so they likely wouldn't make for a very good hunting bullet on game animals.

Those have been out for awhile.  I bought some of the 183's back when my 7mm Blaser Mag was finishing up but I've yet to get around to shooting any of them.  They are a wicked looking bullet and are noticeably longer than the 180 Bergers.  The meplat on these things is so tight they almost look like a FMJ.  I haven't actually measured them but I'd say the bearing surface is a little less than the 180 Berger.

If you'd like to give some a try pm me and I'll send you some.

Was hoping I’d open this thread and find an awesome newfangled .257 bullet.
