Check out Mike Eastman's book on antelope hunting. Went on my first lope hunt this year with the wife who got lucky and drew a good tag in the random draw, so my experience is pretty limited. However, it was a blast this year. Relatively small critters, too, so they would be great for a solo hunt. I don't have much insight on tags, but my understanding is that pretty much every unit in Wyoming with a season has good numbers. They key is to find one with good enough access so that you can hunt, but not so good that the draw odds are tough. Give the game wardens down there a call once you have it narrowed down to a couple units. They are pretty helpful and willing to discuss general animal numbers and public access.
I don't have any points. Actually first time researching. I heard there are units that are fairly easy to draw with lots of Goats but not as many big bucks as others
I'm leaning towards a DIY Deer/Antelope hunt in Montana in the first week in NovemberAm I making a poor decision on waiting until Deer opener to hunt for Antelope?
