You need to try a March scope!

 :yeah:

Put another stack or two of bills on that pile and step up to March!

There's enough there to cover a March.👍

Plus if you get a Vortex, it comes with an official lapel pin, Vortex ascot, 3 sizes of window decals, step by step instructions on how to do the secret Vortex hand shake, a 2 year subscription to the E-magazine "Why The Creedmoor Is The Best Thing In The History Of Everything!" and a lifetime no questions asked warranty which you'll use at least twice (but that's OK because their customer service is the best and everybody has an item slip through QC once in a while and it wasn't really that big of a deal because it was just a one time thing and Vortex is the best thing to happen to the shooting industry ever except maybe the 6.5 Creedmoor).

Go Vortex!!!!

If anyone is adding to their Vortex collection I have a set of Vortex wine glasses and a letter opener.

Sold!

I know you have mentioned the Sightron SIII's.  I have never shot one.

I'd take a Sightron SIII over an NXS any day. My only complaints with Sightron are the reticle choices and limited MIL based options.

I'm becoming partial to the Athlon APLR reticle. Decent glass for the money. I have one in mils but they have an moa one as well. Holdovers are right on the money.

Schmidt and Bender make good stuff.  I know I'm a minority on here, but I like my Swarovski scopes with custom turrets.    I'm a fan of Zeiss as well.  But my buddy has a Schmidt and Bender, and it's a darn nice scope.

I have given serious thought to the Swarovski X5.

X5 is a darn nice scope.  My LR rifle has the Z5 5-25x52mm with a couple different custom turrets on it.   The glass is so nice.   Man I love shooting that rifle.   Haven't tried the X5 yet.

The X5's MOA set up is my attraction. I can't stand the Mil-System. I did my time and I don't live in Europe.

No need for the "Universal System"..

I like custom turrets as I'm lazy.  :-)   Range, dial, fire.

Outdoorsmans offers the lower cost option for the Swarovski turrets.   But it requires a bit of time shooting rounds over the chronograph before ordering each turret.  Works for me.  Mileage may vary.

My setup is primarily for hunting, not competitive shooting.   850 yards is about as far as my turret goes before I have to start using the reticle dots for further distance.  Windage of course is all reticle based (no custom turret for that).
