Hunters first deer

My sons first deer, He was gonna hold out for 3 point until we seen our first doe tyring to sneak off, he changed his mind and the hunt was on. We set up on her multiple times, all we had was butt shots. She would not stop and turn for nothing. she ended up walking into an aspen grove. kirkl and my other cousin jj push the aspens for us she came running out and into a coulee. We set up were we could see pretty good and a couple of minutes later she walked out on the side hill of the coulee and stopped quartering away from us. A moment later the 243 barked and she humped up and headed back down in the coulee. We snuck up too were we had last seen her and there she was still up but sick and and quick second shot threw both lungs put her down. we ranged back down to the tree he had shot from the first time and i wouldn't of let him shoot if i new it was that far 270 yards. heck of a shot for a 9 year old. He can shoot pretty dang good and with a little luck, he bagged his first deer. I'm not sure who was more excited me or him. One of the best parts is we had just ran into my cousins on the hill and every one got too share in the excitement.

Great story and nice first deer. Buck or doe, the memories will always be great!! Sure love to see dads getting their kids involved in outdoors. Seems like a lot of people now days are all about themselves and don't have time to share moments with kids and friends. Great job!!
