The wife got her new big game rifle.

Well, My wife has been eyeing this old gorl for a while and I surprised her with it for her birthday. It mad hitting the big 30 a little easier for her. She loves it and anything inside 200 yards is in trouble with her behind the rifle. Its a Remington Model 30 Express in 35 Whelen.

Great looking rifle. Thanks for sharing.

She has good taste, sure seems to be a fine rifle. She wants to keep it original with no optics. I think it will be good for her to learn the loss of a shot because you just cant see good enough.

damn! i've fondled that thing a half dozen times at welchers over the past few months. just couldn't cough up the money and the safe is already over full. what a gorgeous pre-war custom that thing is. i can't even imagine what it would cost in today's dollars to have built, but it was a steal in my opinion for what they were asking.
congrats!

Thats how I felt about it BigGoon, but she really liked it and its in such good shape. Ive given it a few coats of stock conditioner and gave it a good clean and lube. It is pretty.
