Hedden’s Laser, Glass and Plasma Works - Intro
« on: February 06, 2018, 12:31:56 PM »
Hey guys, I became a site sponsor a couple weeks ago after one of my posts generated some interest in different laser engraving jobs. This business originated from my dad starting to do glass work with his kilns, and now we have included our laser engraver, which is currently up and running. We are also working on the final steps of completing our shop so that we can get our plasma cutting table up and running too.

So far on the laser engraving side, we have mostly dealt with more “gift” type items, but I am open to doing just about anything (not currently doing firearms).

Once the plasma table is up and rolling I will be doing some hunting and fishing themed art as well.

I’ll post a few samples of what we’ve done, and we have quite a bit of material on hand from glass, to barn wood, to granite tiles. Currently we do not have a website, just Facebook, but feel free to check out Hedden’s Laser, Glass and Plasma Works LLC at https://www.facebook.com/HeddensLaserGlassPlasmaLLC and hit me up with any questions.

Thanks

Got bored this weekend so I fired up the kiln to melt some beer bottles down. Also engraved some growlers for the local pizza place.

Out of curiosity, were the Rogue bottles melted in the kiln just for fun or do you have an idea for them?

Cool work

With them melted flat like that, you can attach a hanger and hang them up as decorative, or display them another way. I also have other molds that can turn them into 2-3 section trays or more of like a spoon rack.

Thanks guys. Here’s another serving tray I forgot to post. I have access to a ton of various fish and wildlife images that I can engrave.

That's really cool Brent! You should get a booth at Oregon trail days this year!

Cool work . I remember a bar my grandparents used to go to that all of the ash trays were made out of melted stubby bottles .That was a couple years back ... :chuckle:

I love those melted bottles.  However, did someone put a gun to your head to drink those Rogues?  That stuff is panther p.

I have thought about getting a booth somewhere and actually doing laser work on site, but the problem is trying to figure out where to blow the exhaust fan so I’m not blowing wood/paint dust on everyone.  :chuckle:

I’m not. Actually, I still haven’t got the plasma table up and running. Have had other stuff take priority and haven’t had the time to finish the shop.

:chuckle: I think I drank one of the Rogue’s and the other bottle was given to me.
