Smacked a 3pt
« on: October 18, 2007, 10:51:06 AM »
Smacked a 3pt yesterday morning. Not much of a story. we been hitting her pretty hard first 4 days then yesterday went to a spot and some other guys screwed us out of it so we head down the mountain to another spot and as were driving down the road, this buck, a two point and some does were heading up into the timber about 25 yards off the road, so i jumped out and shot him, end of story.  A guy deserves an easy one every once in a while. I took one for you long photo shooters.

Man that thing sure grew in that second photo! :chuckle:  Good job on a dandy buck!
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.
If I ageed with you, then we'd both be wrong.

Yep, boneaddict was talking about rutting bucks, this boy was rutted up to, he had a swollen neck and his bases were loaded with tree scrapings.  This 3pt had a huge body, he was a older 3pt, had his front teeth then there was about a 4 inch gap before you could see his back teeth. dont think he had any molars.

Congrats Kirk!   Were you still up in Winthrop country?  Nice job, now you don't have to worry about chasing those blacktails in the rain.
