Wondering what camo clothing you guys like. Sitka, First Lite, etc... what are good inexpensive and more expensive options, are some just name brand? What’s a good overall hunting pack?

I'm not sure if they still make them, but my Cabela's merino wool pants in outfitter camo are my favorite hunting pants. They're great in cold, warm, dry, or wet conditions. For really cold conditions, the Cabela's outfitter fleece is hard to beat.

I wear camo almost everyday,I buy about 80% of my camo at Walmart. The other 20% at cabelas. The cabelas stuff is boots, gloves and socks and a couple heavy winter outfits.Everything last for years from both places.I have 6 large black roller totes full of different camo pants bibs shirts and light jackets.I have a snow winter heavy coat and pants and a camo heavy coat and pants (cabelas).I have the 1400 rubber tall boots cabelas.probably around 3k at cabelas and about $300 from Walmart. If all was bought at cabelas or the like i would be in clothing for myself about 7k.

The game i chase don't care how good i look and i'm quite comfortable in what i have.

I've found a good mix from different brands that works for me.  Merino base layers from first lite and black ovis, as well as their mid layers.  Sitka puffy vests and jackets.  Rain gear from first lite is great as is the kuiu stuff.  But I also hunt in solids like Kuhl, prana and costco pants and game doesn't seem to notice.  Whatever keeps you comfortable on the mountain and keeps you in the hunt.

IME If they are really good and if you really like them, it's a sure thing that they will quit making them.   :bash:  Stock up on them now if you can still find them!

About halfway through my life this pattern of manufacturers discontinuing the items I like prompted me to start buying at least two and sometimes more of an item if I really liked it, especially when it comes to boots.  If it is an exceptionally good item in field use, I go back and buy more.  I bought two pair of my all time favorite early Merrill boots way way back and when those were worn out, wish I'd bought four pair but didn't know I would live this long.  :chuckle:

Old Red Head fleece.  Been wearing it for years.  Super silent, warm and dries fast.

This seems especially true with Cabela's. A few models of their house brand wading boots were really good and all got discontinued. I purchased Their guide and guidetech boots in advance knowing they wouldn't offer them long. Their original BDU pants were great too.
