The trophy bondeds were awesome -  would get perfect mushrooms every time - even point blank kill shots to neck bone.   No experience with the tipped tho.

I just bought some boxes to run through the 300. The TBT and the TLR from federal look like great hunting bullets. I bought a variety of goodies, HOLY bugger its expensive. I shoot 20.00 Hornady Interlock for deer

Im trying all these

Nosler 180gr Partition
Nosler 180gr Accubond
Win 190gr Accubond LR
Fed 180gr TBT
Fed 200 gr TLR

I might oeder a box of Double Tap 200 gr Accubond but have heard their ammo is inconsistant

Besides expensive, no complaints from me.  Shot a black bear at 230 yards with a .270 and 140g Trophy Bonded Tip, through and through shot, she dropped pretty quick.

Haven't used the TBT or TLR, but the Trophy Bonded Bear Claw is a great bullet for bear and elk.

If you have a chronograph, I'd use it when firing those various factory ammo to give you a feel for velocities.  I've chrono'd alot of factory ammo across multiple lots per supplier as I had some custom turrets made for my scopes (this was before I started reloading).  In my experience, Nosler factory ammo is closest to their stated specs, whereas others are consistenlty slower than their stated specs (I've seen some ammo suppliers almost 200fps slower than claimed....HSM being the worst that I tested, although DoubleTap also had some inconsistencies).

Good advice about the crono as I will have a custom turret. I have heard the same thing about double tap

Small sample size but my wife killed a bull with a 130 grain out of her 270 this year.  One passed through and one was a perfect mushroom on the far side hide.

Aside from being a little spendy they are a great round if you do your part they will drop an elk right in its tracks. That's what i shoot out of my 300wsm and I have no complaints they group well and do their job.

Falcon was that a one shot gig?
